Heather

Heather Santesson comes to you with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Pacific University and a Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University, named one of the top three schools in the country by US News and World Reports.  She has 25 years experience working in mental and behavioral health and 16 years working as an Occupational Therapist.  She has worked with people with developmental and intellectual challenges, mental illness, Autism, cognitive limitations, brain injury and emotional issues.  She has worked in private practice, in group homes, private homes and in the schools.

She has volunteered as a camp counselor at the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, on the DD Council of Washington County, on the planning committee for the Independent Living Program of Washington County, as the OT Association of Oregon Treasurer, a Special Olympics Skiing Instructor, a horse leader for Agape and volunteered at NeuroTherapeutics.

Heather’s calm, soothing personality is appreciated by those she works with.  She customizes treatment for each individual and commonly spends extra time planning sessions, developing tools and making sure her customers have all the resources she can come up with.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching medical dramas, cooking healthy meals from scratch, spending time with family and friends and having adventures.
